Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle (2017) is an action-adventure comedy directed by Jake Kasdan and serves as a modern continuation of the beloved 1995 film Jumanji. The film puts a fresh spin on the original concept by transporting the characters into the jungle-themed world of the magical Jumanji game.

The story follows four high school students—Spencer, Fridge, Bethany, and Martha—who discover an old video game console while in detention. When they start the game, they are unexpectedly sucked into the virtual world of Jumanji, where they take on the avatars they chose. Spencer becomes the courageous Dr. Smolder Bravestone (Dwayne Johnson), Fridge turns into the diminutive zoologist Franklin "Mouse" Finbar (Kevin Hart), Bethany transforms into the cartographer Professor Shelly Oberon (Jack Black), and Martha becomes the agile fighter Ruby Roundhouse (Karen Gillan).

Trapped in the dangerous jungle, they must work together to complete the game’s challenges and survive various threats, including wild animals, treacherous terrain, and the villainous Van Pelt (Bobby Cannavale), who is determined to stop them. Along the way, the group learns valuable lessons about teamwork, courage, and self-acceptance.

Filled with humor, heart, and thrilling action sequences, Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle revitalizes the classic adventure for a new generation. The film was a box office hit and praised for its fun performances, particularly the chemistry between the lead actors, offering a delightful mix of adventure and comedy for audiences of all ages.
